Samsung introduces Galaxy M54 smartphone with 108MP camera, 120Hz OLED screen, and 5G connectivity

Samsung has expanded its mid-range smartphone lineup with the launch of Galaxy M54, a new device that promises to deliver premium features at an affordable price point. The Galaxy M54 is positioned between the Galaxy A and Galaxy S series, offering a balance of performance, design, and value.

According to [[1]] and [[2]], the Galaxy M54 sports a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with Full HD+ resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate. This should make the screen smoother and more responsive, especially for gaming and scrolling. The screen is also said to be brighter and more colorful than the Galaxy A54 5G, which has a similar but smaller screen.

Under the hood, the Galaxy M54 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, which supports 5G connectivity for faster internet speeds and lower latency. The phone also packs a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, as well as up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, depending on the variant.

One of the main highlights of the Galaxy M54 is its camera system, as per [[1]] and [[3]]. The phone boasts a 108-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) for sharper and steadier shots, even in low light. The camera setup also includes a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor, which can capture wider angles, close-up details, and portrait effects. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera with support for 4K video recording.

In terms of software, the Galaxy M54 runs on Android 13 with Samsung’s One UI 4.5 skin on top, which offers a clean and customizable user interface. The phone also features Samsung’s Knox security platform, which provides multi-layer protection for data and privacy.

The Galaxy M54 is available in two color options, namely Phantom Black and Mystic Blue, as per [[2]]. The phone is priced at $399 for the 8GB/128GB variant and $449 for the 8GB/256GB variant, which is quite competitive considering the specs and features offered. The Galaxy M54 can be purchased from Samsung’s online store, as well as from selected retailers and carriers.

Overall, the Galaxy M54 seems to be a promising addition to Samsung’s smartphone lineup, offering a strong combination of performance, camera, and display features at an affordable price. It will be interesting to see how the Galaxy M54 compares to other mid-range phones in the market, such as the Xiaomi Mi 12 and the OnePlus Nord 3.
