Nexus 4 with Android 7.1.1. Works great. Just followed the instructions as stated: copied data folder to the appropriate place and installed the APK. No other voodoo required for me.

I had a hard time putting it to work, and tried many sites but this one worked for me. My android Ver is 5.0 and I used the RS2 V1.01 it’s easier to download the apk and the files from a PC but just make sure to download the necessary files from Ihackedit.com instead of mixing with some other apk you’ve download from another site(I tried it before). In the end I’m not sure about what really worked but my advice is:
1- Turn off the Wi-Fi and the 3G
2- Uninstall and then Install the game(If you’ve tried to install it before), but don’t run it yet
3- Place the OBB files
4- Run the game
That’s what worked for me. Anyway I’m not sure if you’ll need to turn off the internet everytime you want to start the game, but do this at least once for guarantee.
Hi all,
I finally found the solution to the famous unsolvable problem of the eternel “Downloading” black screen.
It is really simple and it works with every apk, not only this one :
Install the apk BEFORE unzipping OBB into the sdcard….. Yep, it’s that simple…
In fact, when you install the apk, the obb you unzipped (if you did it before) won’t work anymore, so it’s really important to install apk file, then, WITHOUT opening the game, unzip the OBB folder (folder, not file) in sdcard/Android/OBB folder.
Last point : unzip the OBB in the Internal Sdcard of your phone, not in an external Sdcard ! It won’t work if you put it in the Android folder of your EXTERNAL sdcard.
I hope that helped everybody who ran into the same problem I ran into.

installed the game, put the folder in the obb folder in android, stuck at downloading. My cellphone is a moto G second generation, unrooted. some advice please?

Nah,authentication failed
Tried all modes of patching with lucky patcher and still got the same error mesage every time
100% working. tested on different devices.
I own a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime.
I tried from auto patching all the way to extreme,and didnt work.

Confirmed working, follow the steps and use lucky patcher to remove license verification before launching the game.
Stuck at “downloading” screen.
Did install apk, haven’t run game, added the folder in android/obb/
run the game get Squareenix screen and the all black with downloading.

You put the obb file in the wrong place, the game didn’t load it,so “downloading”.
I downloaded it today 10/06/2016 and still give me “Authentification failed” I have a rooted Marshmallow 6.0 should I turn off the authentification services ? how can I do that ?

Switch off licence service to play store in lucky patcher. (root)
